Roberts rapidly convinced Poe that he was the ideal person to represent him. After Poe joined the team, Mark started scoring other players, including referees and anyone else he believed represented him. In response to an article in a local newspaper about a young sports agent, Plainfield Athletic Club approached him and asked if he would be interested in representing the best fighters in the history of the sport.
